FromSoftware Is Recruiting Lots of Developers for Multiple Projects

Post by Mr.T »

Today, IGN Japan reports that esteemed Tokyo-based developer FromSoftware has begun 'large-scale recruitment' for multiple projects, as evidenced by this webpage on the studio's website.

There will be a series of online briefing sessions to be held via Zoom between December 4th and 15th, where development staff that worked on FromSoftware's latest games will be on hand to discuss the specifics of the various roles. There are openings available for many career types:
  • Game planner

  • Motion designer
  • Cinematic artist
  • Technical artist
  • Sound designer/composer
  • Production progress

  • Graphic designer (advertising/WEB)
  • Sales
  • Equipment management and application management assistant
  • QA department manager candidate, title manager, and support

  • Sound assistant (part-time job)
FromSoftware released its latest game, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, a couple of months ago. It earned an 8.5 out of 10 score in Wccftech's review penned by Kai Powell:
From Software has created its pinnacle mech-fighting opus with Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. The faster pace of combat and higher difficulty may deter newcomers from strapping in for the first time, but there’s truly something special at play here. If the pace of Elden Ring leaves you wanting more or you simply want to blow up anything that moves, Armored Core VI’s got a job for you.
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon sold very well (it was nearly at three million units a couple of weeks ago), though what FromSoftware fans really want from the studio is Shadow of the Erdtree. The Elden Ring expansion was announced in February and may be shown at the upcoming The Game Awards for a February 5, 2024 launch date, according to rumors.

Other than that, the studio's future projects are anyone's guess. Fans have certainly been clamoring long enough for a Bloodborne sequel, though, and Sony did purchase a 14.1% stake in FromSoftware in August 2022. A couple of months later, PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst teased a collaboration on the game side as well as transmedia opportunities.
