The Sonic series has had a particularly active year, with yet another game announced this week in Sonic Dream Team, a 3D platformer that looks like the dream game 3D-era Sonic fans have been looking for – only for the game to be exclusive to Apple Arcade.
The news continues the trend of good news for the franchise coming with some sort of catch, especially as the game brings back characters who haven’t been playable since at least a decade ago and 3D arena bosses in a style that harkens back to the fan-favorite Sonic Adventure games.
While it isn’t clear if this game is only a timed exclusive, Sega’s other Apple Arcade offerings Chu Chu Rocket! Universe and Sonic Racing continue to stay Apple Arcade-exclusive, whittling down the number of people who will even play the game.
