Ubisoft Shutting Down Online Services For 10 Games

by Mr.T » Sun Nov 05, 2023 9:34 pm

Ubisoft is set to shut down the online services for 10 games in January. All of the games seeing services shuttered are over 10 years old.

The company made the announcement via a post on its website on Monday.

“Decommissioning the online services for older games is something we do not take lightly, however, it is also a necessity as the technology behind these services becomes outdated,” the company said. “As a result, we will decommission the online services of several games across different platforms on 25 January 2024.”

The games being shut down include:
  • Assassin’s Creed II – Xbox 360
  • Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood – MAC
  • Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD – PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
  • Assassin’s Creed Revelations – PC
  • Ghost Recon Future Soldier – PC
  • Heroes of Might and Magic VI – PC
  • NCIS – PC
  • R.U.S.E – PC
  • Splinter Cell: Conviction – Xbox 360
  • Trials Evolution – PC
With these games having their online services ending, players will no longer be able to play them online, use any online features, or link their Ubisoft accounts. That said, they will remain playable offline.
